Week 16 Sleepers!

Drew Brees: The 41-year old returned from multiple injuries last week against the Chiefs in a 32-29 loss. He put up 234 yards, 3 TDs and an INT while completing only 15-34 of his passes. It was clearly a rusty showing from the veteran as he was missing open receivers all game long. However, having such a bad game and still totaling 20 fantasy points is a feat in itself. On Christmas Day, the Saints take on a young Minnesota secondary which could work in Brees' favor. Look for him to exploit the inexperience of the defense and have an even better fantasy performance than last weekend.

Tua Tagovailoa: Tua has been boom or bust seemingly all season since taking the starting job from Fitzpatrick. After a tough showing last week in which he only threw for 145 yards without many key weapons, he'll look to bounce back in a favorable matchup against the Raiders. Las Vegas has been brutally inefficient at stopping the pass all season long and Tua will likely get DeVante Parker and Mike Gesicki back this week. With a healthy offense going into a pivotal week 16 game for Miami, Tua is guaranteed to have at least 20 fantasy points.

Kareem Hunt: Hunt was once the embodiment of efficiency until week 11, where he's busted in four out of five games in weeks 11-15. This weekend, Cleveland will get the Jets and I can only assume they'll win this one handily. New York wants that number one overall pick and now that they've gotten in the win column, they won't be looking to win the rest of the season. Hunt is a big-play threat and I believe that he'll be able to exploit the defense and take advantage of a team that needs to lose. Even with Chubb getting more work every week, Hunt can be mixed into the receiving game and is known to get some goal-line carries.

Darrell Henderson: Henderson has been part of a Rams backfield that has been constantly switching between lead backs. Cam Akers recently became the clear-cut RB for Los Angeles but last week sprained his ankle and will miss this week's matchup against Seattle. After just three rushing attempts the last two weeks, Henderson will get a full workload this weekend. The last time the Rams played the Seahawks, Henderson scored and Malcolm Brown added two more TDs on the ground. With Henderson likely receiving 15+ touches, he has a great chance to find the end-zone at least once.

Emmanuel Sanders: Sanders has been a WR2 when Michael Thomas is out which has been the case most of the season. Last week as mentioned in Brees' segment, Drew only completed 15 passes with a 44% clip. Sanders caught 4 of 5 targets for 76 yards in that contest showing the rapport between the WR and QB. If Brees completes 20+ passes on Christmas which I believe he will, Sanders should get around 7 receptions making him a high-end WR2 with WR1 upside in PPR formats.

Tee Higgins: Since Joe Burrow went down in week 11, every fantasy threat on the Bengals have become worthy of benching each week. Higgins has still garnered a fair share of targets, however, getting at least 5 targets each game since Brandon Allen and Ryan Finley took over. The Bengals are making us guess which QB will get the start this weekend but my guess would be Finley after last week's impressive win against Pittsburgh. If Finley starts, Higgins could receive a boost because Finley seemed to like the rookie WR. He went 7-13 for 89 yards and a TD and Higgins had 6 targets, 3 receptions for 31 yards. In a much more favorable matchup against Houston, Finley will throw 20-25 times and if last week is any indication, Higgins could receive double-digit targets. He's a very risky start, but in deeper leagues, he could be a desperation play with upside.

Brandin Cooks: Cooks has exemplified how to be a frustrating fantasy WR who has plenty of upside but hasn't tapped into that upside since week 9. He has between 10-14 fantasy points in PPR formats in his last five games and has only scored once in those five starts. This weekend, I think that trend will change. In those previous games, Will Fuller was playing, or he Cooks a tough matchup operating as the number 1 WR for Houston being locked up by the number 1 CB against the Colts twice. Going against the Bengals should work in his favor as none of their corners should match up well against Cooks. I think his mediocre performances come to an end this week and he's is a high-end WR2 for this matchup.

Zach Ertz: Ertz has slowly been working back into the offense the last three weeks and gets a favorable matchup against Dallas this weekend. He showed promise last week with Hurts under center receiving 7 targets and catching two balls for 69 yards. If Hurts is on the money again this week and he and Ertz are on the same page, the TE could be in for a big game. He's a risky play but in a year where TE points are hard to come by, Ertz could be a great boom play as long as he receives the number of targets he did last week.
