Week 12 Sleepers!
Carson Wentz: Wentz is in the middle of an abysmal season and Doug Peterson is being called on to bench him. Wentz knows he needs to step it up as the Eagles are right in the mix to win the NFC East. This week, the Eagles will play host to Seattle and their league-worst passing defense. This is Wentz's chance to prove that he is still worthy of starting for Philadelphia. In every game the Seahawks have played, opposing QBs have had some of the best games of their careers. If Wentz doesn't have a great game, his fantasy value for the rest of the season is absolutely none. If you stream QBs, Wentz is a good option as he has to show up for his team against a horrible secondary.
Derek Carr: Carr has been a surprisingly consistent fantasy option this year and has a mouthwatering matchup in Atlanta this weekend. Coming off a tough loss against KC in which Carr passed for 275 yards, 3 TDs and an INT, he's poised for another big game. Atlanta has been stout against the run all year long but has continued to allow opposing QBs to succeed. If Josh Jacobs gets bottled up which I believe he will to some extent, Carr will be throwing all game long. He has a great shot at 20+ fantasy points in what should be a high scoring affair.
Brian Hill: Hill will be taking over the starting RB duties for Gurley who is out this week with a knee injury. Hill has looked explosive this year when he's carried the ball and has more pass-catching ability than Gurley. The Raiders have one of the worst rushing defenses in the league which bodes well for Hill in his first start. In a year in which consistent RBs are tough to come by, Hill could provide a much-needed boost for fantasy teams that have struggled at the position. Fire him up as an RB2 with hopes that he gets involved in the passing game giving him PPR upside.
Raheem Mostert: Mostert is expected back this week against the Rams after missing the last four weeks with an ankle injury. When healthy, Mostert is one of the most dangerous big-play threats of any RB in the league. Whether it's in the passing game or on the ground, he needs just one play to make his week. The Rams are a tough welcome back for Mostert, but he should be played as an RB2. The 49ers struggle on offense and Mostert will be a real boost to the team and he should be utilized a lot. A lot of fantasy owners aren't considering him for this week even though he should be a top 15 play.
Jamison Crowder: Crowder has been possibly the least talked about WR in football this year. Battling injuries and QB struggles, he's flown under the radar all season despite being one of the most productive WRs when Darnold starts. This week, Darnold will be back healthy which very easily could catapult Crowder into the WR1 conversation. His lack of production over the past few weeks is solely because of the poor play of Joe Flacco so don't discredit Crowder. Fire him up this week as a WR2 with plenty of upside if he can return to his early-season form with Darnold under center.
Travis Fulgham: The second-year WR had an amazing stretch of games from weeks 4-8 establishing himself as an elite WR2 option. However, after the week 9 bye, he's totaled 12 targets, 2 receptions for only 16 yards. This week, Fulgham makes the sleeper list because of his matchup against Seattle's secondary. The target share has been there considering how little Wentz throws the ball since the Eagles can't sustain their drives. If Wentz is able to have a big game which I believe is a possibility given his appearance on this list, Fulgham should be a big part of that. He's a risky play given the last two weeks, but he has a chance to put up big numbers and hopefully start producing as he was before the bye.
Deebo Samuel: Samuel is returning this week from his hamstring injury that has kept him out the past three weeks. In his absence, Aiyuk has been putting up great fantasy numbers as the team's WR1. This weekend, Aiyuk is looking doubtful to play meaning Samuel will instantly return to the team's top option in the passing game. It won't be easy as Ramsey should be shadowing him for at least a portion of the game, but Mullens is known to pepper the team's top WR with targets. He is a solid flex option with some upside because of the volume he should receive.
Robert Tonyan: Tonyan has been relatively quiet since his 3 TD performance in week 4. Davante Adams has been a big reason why the targets and catches just haven't been there for Tonyan. This week, the Packers host Chicago who is one of the best defenses against WRs. Rodgers is going to be pressured all night long and Adams probably won't be able to have a monster week as he is prone to do. Tonyan should be able to find some room underneath and be the safety valve for Rodgers who will have a tougher time connecting with his WRs. Tonyan has a good chance at 50+ yards and if he finds the end-zone, could be a top 5 TE this week.
