Week 11 Sleepers

Alex Smith: It's been two years since Smith's gruesome leg injury against the Texans in 2018. In his first two games back from injury he has passed for over 700 total yards with a TD and 3 INTs. These numbers aren't great for fantasy by any means but they do show that he has been successful in moving the ball. This week, Washington plays host to the Bengals who have one of the league's worst pass defenses. There's no doubt that Smith will be able to move the ball in this one. As long as Gibson doesn't vulture his TDs like he did last week, Smith should be able to have a 20+ point fantasy performance.

Damien Harris: Harris has already made an appearance on my sleepers list but didn't have the game I had hoped for. This week, in Houston, I believe he'll have his biggest game of the season. In week 10, he rushed the ball 22 times for 121 against Baltimore's stout rush defense. If he can do that against one of the league's best, he should be able to run wild against one of the league's worst. Houston gave up 240 yards to Kareem Hunt and Nick Chubb last week and has been gashed almost every week this season. I don't see Harris having anything less than 100 yards and a score in this one.

Salvon Ahmed: Ahmed made himself known last week to the fantasy world with an 85-yard performance while adding a TD on 21 carries. The rookie out of Washington will be taking over the Miami backfield while the sophomore out of Washington, Myles Gaskin sits on IR. Ahmed will face a stiff Denver rush defense this week but still should receive a large workload. With Tua slowly being worked into the offense, Miami has leaned heavily on the ground attack which should continue this week. Ahmed is worth a start if you are desperate for an RB this week. As long as Gaskin is out, he should be picked up in all formats.

Gus Edwards: Edwards has been the goal-line back for the Ravens over the past four weeks and it doesn't seem like he'll relinquish that role anytime soon. During those four weeks, he is averaging almost 10 fantasy points a game which is sub-par unless you look at his matchups. The Ravens have gone up against some of the toughest rushing defenses in that span yet Edwards continues to either rack up yards on few carries or find the end zone. This week, Baltimore plays host to Tennessee which should offer a reprieve from their previous tough matchups. If Edwards can stay relevant against the league's best run stoppers, he's able to make a case for around 15 fantasy points in this one.

Jakobi Meyers: Meyers has been balling out the past two weeks for the Patriots establishing himself as Newton's favorite wideout with Edelman sidelined. He's been targeted 22 times with 17 receptions, 228 yards and a passing TD in that span. He blew up for almost 170 yards against the Jets and had 60 against Baltimore's top secondary in the pouring rain. This week, in Houston, he should be in for a monster game. The Texan's secondary has given up big plays all year and Meyers will have an easy time cooking his defenders. He has a great chance to be a top 10 play this week in PPR formats.

Mike Williams: Williams has been boom or bust all season making it difficult to start him with confidence. This week, the Chargers play host to the Jets who have little to no defense. Keenan Allen will no doubt have a great week but the big play ability of Williams is something to take a liking to in this one. Herbert should be slinging the ball all game and I would be very surprised if Williams wasn't involved in the gameplan in this one. He's a risky play, but if you need a boom-type player this week, Williams is your guy.

K.J. Hamler: Hamler has come alive out of nowhere the past two weeks totaling 10 targets in each of those contests. Although he only has 10 receptions out of those 20 targets, the volume is there which is a great sign. Going against Miami's tough secondary will be no easy task, but the yards will have to come from somewhere. Lock and Hamler should only build a stronger rapport each week and in a game where they will surely be trying to keep up with Miami, Hamler should receive another barrage of targets. He's a deep sleeper, but if you're desperate he has great upside.

Kyle Rudolph: Rudolph has been a TE that has delivered almost no fantasy value so far this year until two weeks ago. He's totaled 7 receptions for 103 yards in the last two contests which is close to what he had in the first seven games of the season. This week, against Dallas, Dalvin Cook will be fed all game long giving little upside to the passing game. However, if they are indeed able to move the ball like they should, Rudolph could see some red-zone targets. He's a very deep sleeper but worth a start in 12-team leagues, if you're desperate.
