Week 11 Start 'Em Sit 'Em
Start 'Em
Ben Roethlisberger: Roethlisberger was playing solid ball up until two weeks ago when he decided to show fantasy owners he's still got it. He's passed for 639 yards and 7 TDs in that span while throwing no INTs. Pittsburgh has Smith-Schuster, Claypool and Johnson as their top 3 WRs which gives Roethlisberger three of the league's top threats to choose from. This week, he gets a good matchup in Jacksonville as he looks to keep his hot streak alive. With James Conner and the running game struggling, Big Ben could be carrying the load offensively once again. Fire him up as a top 5 play this week.
Kalen Ballage: Ballage has taken over the Chargers backfield over the past two weeks and will be starting once more before Ekeler's projected week 12 return. In two games as a starter, he has combined for 186 total yards and a score. This week, the Chargers play host to the Jets who have given up 27 fantasy points a game to opposing RBs, and Ballage should be able to take advantage of that. Given his matchup and pass-catching prowess, Ballage has a shot to be a top 5 RB this week. I'm giving him a floor of 15 points with major upside. Start him in all formats especially PPR.
Terry McLaurin: The first five weeks of the season, McLaurin was somewhat inconsistent but still was able to produce. In the last four weeks, he's totaled 40 targets, 28 receptions, 401 yards and 2 TDs while catching an even 7 balls in each contest. He's proved to be QB proof as he excels no matter who throws him the ball. Alex Smith has passed for almost 700 yards in the past two games and going against a bottom of the league Cincinnati secondary, he should be in line for another 300+ yard outing. McLaurin is a must-start in all formats and has the potential to record his biggest game of the season.
Austin Hooper: Hooper had either 50 yards or a score in the last three games before his injury. Last week, he only had one catch but it was in windy Cleveland during a 10-7 game in which Chubb and Hunt were the whole offense. This week, against the Eagles, the Browns will have to rely more on their passing game since Philadelphia has a good run defense. Hooper will be one of Mayfield's favorite targets in this one and should get back to his solid 8-12 points a week production.
Sit 'Em
Aaron Rodgers: I know what you're thinking: Why bench Rodgers when he's been one of the best fantasy QBs this year? The answer is the Colts defense. They know that the only way to win this game is by shutting down the Packer's offense and that's what they are going to put all their energy and focus into. Rodgers will probably have a solid game and could score 20 fantasy points. However, if you have a QB that you were thinking about playing over Rodgers this week, I'd plug him in because this will be one of the toughest defenses the Packers will face all year and they will struggle more than normal.
James Robinson: Robinson has been carrying the Jaguars offense on his back since Minshew got injured. This week, however, Jacksonville faces the league's best rushing defense in the Steelers who will be determined to shut Robinson down. If they can do that, Mike Tomlin will be fine letting Luton pass since it will likely result in a couple turnovers. Given the matchup, Robinson is a safe bet for under 10 fantasy points with TDs as his only hope of a big week.
Mike Evans: Evans has been performing the way fantasy owners had hoped for over the past few weeks posting season-high numbers in targets and catches. This week, he will be shadowed by Jalen Ramsey who has been shutting down elite WRs all year. With Chris Godwin and Antonio Brown as viable options for Brady, he won't be forcing the ball to Evans. This will most likely be an off game for the 6'5" stud as he will be used more as a decoy than anything. He's got little upside and is worth a bench if you have other solid options at WR.
Jonnu Smith: Smith started the season strong looking like one of the best TEs in the league but since then has been quiet. His target share just isn't there as he's received just 16 in the last 5 games. His TD upside is just about the only way he'll be able to provide fantasy value even in PPR formats. Going against Baltimore won't be any easier than his previous matchups and I can't see him getting more than a couple points unless he scores. Bench Smith this week.
