Top Waiver Adds Heading into Week 5

Justin Jackson: With Austin Ekeler going down for at least a week, Jackson tops this week's waiver adds as he'll be in a committee with Joshua Kelley until Ekeler returns. The Chargers love to run the ball in order to open up the passing game for rookie QB Justin Herbert. While we don't know the volume Jackson will have or how long Ekeler is out, he is worth an add in any league in case he is able to get a solid workload.

Chase Edmonds: Kenyan Drake has been the biggest bust in fantasy so far scoring just one TD and averaging under 10 fantasy points per game. Edmonds has been doing just as well as Drake on fewer touches and I can only imagine it's imminent that Edmonds gets an uptick of snaps. Add him and keep him stashed until the news comes that Drake is no longer the RB1 in Arizona.

D'Ernest Johnson: When Nick Chubb went down early in the game, Hunt assumed Chubb's role, and Johnson took over Hunt's role. He didn't waste his chance as he out-touched and outran Hunt, although Hunt did get the goal-line looks. With Chubb out several weeks, Johnson could be getting 10+ carries per game and could possibly produce similar to how Hunt did before Chubb went down. Johnson is a must-add on a Browns team who loves an RB committee.

Tee Higgins: Higgins has had two good weeks in a row in which he has been targeted 16 times for 9 catches, 120 yards and two TDs. AJ Green has been virtually non-existent this year as he and Burrow have no chemistry. Higgins is a flex play in 12 team leagues right now as he seems to be the WR2 in Cincinnati. His role could increase as the season goes along if he and Burrow continue finding a rhythm making him playable in smaller leagues as well.

Scotty Miller: Miller has been solid this year with only one game below 70 yards receiving. When Chris Godwin is out, that's the time to start Miller as he gets into the end-zone in those games. He's not an every-week start, but he has upside as a rookie slot WR who will only keep improving with Brady throwing him the ball. If Godwin keeps missing time, it enhances Miller's upside substantially.

Robert Tonyan: Tonyan was the biggest surprise in week 4 catching all 6 of his targets for 98 yards and 3 TDs. This comes after he recorded 50 yards and a score on five catches. Rodgers was looking to him on almost every red-zone trip and seemed to have a great connection with the former undrafted free agent. If you're weak at the TE spot, Tonyan is a must-add since the Packers move the ball well and have so many chances to score.
